Our commitment to journalistic integrity and editorial independence.
At The Street International Journal, we believe that rigorous, accurate, and fair journalism is the foundation of an informed society. These Editorial Standards outline the principles and practices that govern all of our editorial content.
All facts reported by SIJ must be verified through at least two independent sources before publication. When single-source reporting is unavoidable, it is clearly identified. We correct errors promptly, transparently, and with clear attribution of what was originally stated.
Our editorial decisions are made solely by our editorial team. Advertisers, sponsors, partners, and investors have no influence over what we report or how we report it. Our reporting staff does not participate in advertising sales.
We present all relevant perspectives on matters of public interest. Subjects of critical coverage are given a meaningful opportunity to respond before publication. We avoid characterizations that stereotype or generalize based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or other demographic factors.
We clearly label opinion and analysis pieces to distinguish them from news reporting. Sponsored content, advertorials, and paid partnerships are always identified as such and never presented as independent editorial coverage.
We protect the identity of confidential sources. Our journalists will not reveal the identity of a source who has been promised anonymity, except under extraordinary circumstances or when required by law.
Editorial staff members must disclose any financial interests, relationships, or affiliations that could reasonably be perceived as a conflict of interest. Journalists covering financial markets are prohibited from trading on advance knowledge of their reporting.
When we discover an error in our published work, we correct it promptly and note the correction at the bottom of the article. Significant corrections are also published as standalone correction notices. Our corrections policy applies to all content, including headlines, data, and multimedia.
When articles are sourced from RSS feeds or external news services, we clearly attribute the original source. AI-assisted tools may be used in the editorial process (such as summarization or headline suggestions), but all published content is reviewed and approved by human editors.
If you have questions about our editorial standards or wish to report a concern, please contact our Editor-in-Chief at editor@streetinternationaljournal.com or through our Contact page.
